Ameejee Valleejee & Sons (PVT) Limited
With 158 years of history, AVS remains a symbol of stability, steady growth and a forward-looking business management style.
Today AVS has holdings and management responsibilities of very diverse activities. Cognizance of market needs of a rapidly changing economy, business foresight, entrepreneurship and organization stability have contributed to customer confidence, a rapidly expanding client base and a distinct market position. Our Founders
Our forefathers laid the foundation of Ameejee Valeejee & Sons
Mr. Moosajee Ameejee Tapal
The founder of Ameejee Valleejee & Sons. Mr. Moosajee (1851 – 1904) was a true man of the soil having served karachi since his birth in 1851. With a small cloth shop in Bori Bazar he expanded and extended his business to such an extent that today Ameejee Valleejee & Sons on Bunder Road (now M. A. Jinnah road) stands as a monument of his achievements. The company went on to have the best Dock Engineering Works at Keamari and was the second biggest concern of Sind. The firm was heavily involved in constructing works as the Engineers and Contractors for various public and private sector works.

It also had a factory for making Bolts and Nuts known as India Bolts and Nuts Factory. The firm is one of the oldest concerns in Sind and started in 1867. Mr. Moosajee was considered as one of God’s good men helping the poor and needy members of his community in a manner in which no one, including his own sons, knew. He helped those who were stranded and helpless by raising money from the market anonymously so that people would not know he has helped needy people in want. His manner of charity had the highest kind of virtue. He helped and assisted many families during his time.
Mr. Sadiqali Moosajee Tapal (1891 – 1966)
Mr Sadiqali Moosajee Tapal continued the legacy of his father and continued working as a Merchant and Government Contractor. He was a Municipal Corporator of the Karachi Municipal Corporation for a number of years and then worked on various committees of the same Corporation. He was the Chairman of Karachi Municipal Corporation Stores Committee. He further grew the philanthropic efforts of the family and served as the Chairman of Madressah Hussaini Primary School and was a member of the Karachi Academy High School.

He was also a leader of the Bohra reformists party and a great social figure of his community who took keen interest in the social, educational problems of Bohra youth. He was connected with a number of educational institutions and played a significant part in empowering education for his community. He was a cultured and educated man with high and noble ideals.
